Plagiarism: Kinds and The Law

Kinds of Plagiarism

Plagiarism can be defined as plagiarizing, changing, or taking the idea of work to be made back in a different from without including the original source or owner of the work with the aim of making the copying work as purely his own thoughts. People who take plagiarism themselves are called plagiarist.

Below will be explained briefly about the type of plagiarism:

1.      Verbatim Plagiarism
The highest plagiarism of the weight of the violation is verbatim plagiarism, which is taking the work of another person exactly as it is, by giving the impression that the plagiarism of the person concerned is personal. Without mentioning the source

2.      Patchwork Plagiarism
Patchwork plagiarism is done by taking other people’s work from various sources without mentioning the reference. The piece from various sources are then sewn so that it becomes a new work and is suggested as the original work of plagiarism.

3.      Paraphrase Plagiarism
Plagiarism is done by changing the sentence from the original writer into a new sentence from the perpetrators of plagiarism. If the quote is honest, the original author’s sentence should be formulated as a direct quote and a reference to the place where the quotation was obtained. However, paraphrasing plagiarism will do this by taking over the quote and displaying it as an indirect quote, again not mentioning the source of the reference, giving the impression that the original quote came from the plagiarismist. Paraphrase plagiarism also applies when the original writing is translated from one language to another without mentioning the original source.

4.      Keyword Plagiarism or Key Phrases
Paraphrasing plagiarism which is more unseen is more convert is keyword plagiarism or key phrase plagiarism. Here the perpetrator of plagiarism only takes a number of key words or key phrases from the original writing. Next he reformulated the sentences in the original writing, but still included here and there the key words or key phrases of the original author, without wanting to mention the source of the reference.

5.      Plagiarism Structure Ideas
Among all types of plagiarism, the plagiarism of the structure of ideas is the most hidden and most difficult to trace. Here plagiarism perpetrators cheat on other people’s ideas and then this idea is poured back through a series sentences, with different keywords or key phrases. The ideas of others can come from written source, films, or even oral utterances delivered through various forums. In this context, the keywords and key phrases of the oiginal idea owner are no longer used, but the structure of the idea is still the same. Opinion of the ideas like this is difficult to prove because the similarity of such ideas can be admitted to happen by chance

According to this law, copyright is the creator’s exclusive right that arise automatically based on the declarative principle after a work has been manifested in a tangible from without reducing restrictions in accordance with the provisions of the legislation. Exlusive rights are rights reserved only for the creator or recipient of the copyright. If there are other people who want to take advantage of the creation, this person must get permission first from the creator or recipient of the copyright.
